​About Our Company

In the fourth grade, I won a school art contest and was selected to attend art classes at the Carnegie museum. I will never forget my elementary school art teacher - thank you Mr. B! 

My love for art began there, as a child, where I spent  Saturday mornings at this amazing museum in Pittsburgh, re-drawing and re-painting world famous works of art. Very early on, I knew I wanted to use my mind and my hands to create art and beauty in life.     
                          
I worked as a landscape laborer as a teenager throughout high school in the late 1980’s.  I also took four years of technical drawing and drafting classes in high school. My drafting teacher, Mr. Marasti, was very influential in my college decision.  I originally planned to study Architecture and then discovered a program called Landscape Architecture. This is when I found my destiny. I pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the world renowned, Penn State University.

After graduating in 1995, I went to work professionally for a Pittsburgh area landscape design-build firm as lead landscape designer and project manager. In ten years, I was an instrumental part in taking a small $350,000 company and turning it into a million dollar firm.  

With many years of professional experience, and with a strong desire to take all of my skills and knowledge to a higher level, I took the biggest plunge one can ever make in life. In 2005, K Morris Landscape Design, Inc. was established. Since 2005, I have assembled a team of very talented and experienced craftsman. Today, with over 25 years of professional design and construction experience, my team and I are committed to excellence in the design and construction of creative home landscapes and awesome outdoor living areas.

As an award winning designer, I thoroughly enjoy taking an idea, putting it down on paper, and seeing it into reality through hands-on construction. I am very excited about the opportunity to assist you with your outdoor dreams!

We are a successful, small, family owned and operated Pittsburgh area business.  We provide complete landscape design and build services that includes amazing landscapes, awesome outdoor living spaces, custom patio design, retaining walls,  decks, pergolas, patio roofs, outdoor fireplaces, outdoor kitchens, landscape lighting, waterfalls, ponds, and backyard swimming pool areas. We also provide top notch project management on all of our landscaping and construction projects.
